Thanks to the QR code readers within banking applications, it eliminates the need to manually enter details like the IBAN, recipient's first name, and last name, as these can be captured directly through the camera from the QR code.

Detailed Technical Information

A QR code is a visual that can be read by cameras, consisting of squares within a matrix, some parts white and some parts black. There's a possibility that the code might not be readable if a part of it gets worn out. Therefore, an error correction feature has been added to QR codes.

This error correction feature is based on Reed–Solomon Codes and ensures future error correction. Since it's unknown which part of the data might get damaged in the future, Reed–Solomon Codes enable the storage of data in a way that allows the original data to be produced from partially damaged data. QR codes are classified according to their data recovery capability.

These classifications are:

• Level L (Low): 7% of the data can be recreated.
• Level M (Medium): 15% of the data can be recreated.
• Level Q (Quartile): 25% of the data can be recreated.
• Level H (High): 30% of the data can be recreated.

All our QR codes containing bank data are encoded with “Level H”. This provides a security measure against reading errors by the camera and partial coverage of the QR code. You can scan a partially covered “Level-H” QR code sample among the product photos with your phone.
